When Was the Last Time You Simply Exhaled

By

One of the things I have noticed over the years is that most people do not realize how much they are carrying.

I do not just mean responsibilities, deadlines, or busy schedules. I mean the invisible weight that quietly accumulates over time. The constant need to solve problems. The pressure to make the right decisions. The feeling that there is always one more thing waiting for your attention. After a while, it becomes normal.

In fact, many people become so accustomed to living with that constant pressure that they no longer recognize what it feels like to truly relax. Their body may be sitting still, but their mind is still racing through tomorrow’s to-do list or replaying yesterday’s conversations.

Before joining Modern Holistic Health, I spent my career as an aerospace engineer. My work revolved around understanding how complex systems functioned together. Precision mattered. Every part influenced the whole. It was fascinating work, and in many ways it shaped how I see the world today.

Over the past ten years, I have had the privilege of watching Elena help thousands of people restore their health. What surprised me most was discovering that the human body is every bit as remarkable as any engineering system I had ever studied. I also came to realize that healing is not always about adding something new. Sometimes it begins when we simply create the conditions that allow the body and the mind to do what they were designed to do.

That same idea has shaped how we created The Heart’s Return Retreat, set in the beauty of the mountains.

While Elena will be guiding many of the experiences throughout the retreat, my role is much simpler.
I want every woman who walks through the door to feel welcomed.

I want the kitchen to become a place where strangers quickly become friends. I want meals to be shared without rushing. I want conversations to unfold naturally over a cup of tea or while preparing dinner together. I want there to be moments where laughter comes easily because no one feels like they have to be anywhere else.

In the evenings, for those who would like to join me, we will step outside beneath the mountain sky and spend time looking through the telescope. Ever since I was young, I have been captivated by the stars. There is something profoundly humbling about looking into the vastness of the universe. It has a way of reminding us that life is both much bigger and much simpler than we often make it.

Some of my favorite conversations happen under those stars. No agenda. No expectations. Just people slowing down enough to wonder again.

When Elena first shared her vision for this retreat with me, I knew it was not simply about creating another beautiful event. It was about creating an environment where women could finally put down what they have been carrying and remember what it feels like to simply be present.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments are not found in the scheduled activities at all. Sometimes they happen while washing dishes together. Sometimes they happen while watching the sunset. Sometimes they happen sitting quietly beneath a sky full of stars.

If you are considering joining us this September, I hope you know that you will be welcomed exactly as you are.

It would be an honor to meet you.

Warmly,

Greg
