What My Nervous System Remembered This Christmas

And Why Coherence—Not Hustle—Is the True Catalyst for Creating Reality

We landed in San Francisco just before noon. The winter light, soft from the grey clouds overhead, held a quiet kind of electricity, as if time itself was ready to stretch, to soften.

Within minutes, I was wrapped in the arms of my grandkids. William’s joy radiated through his whole being. Mia’s steady, luminous presence met mine in that silent, knowing way only she can offer.

It’s in these simple moments that the body reveals what the mind can’t manufacture. Not because something is “finally relaxing,” but because true presence activates a deeper frequency. One that already exists beneath the surface. One that never left, it only needed to be witnessed.

We picked up William from school, hugged Mia at the door, and fell into a rhythm that didn’t require orchestration. It simply was.

This is the nature of coherence. It doesn’t arrive when everything slows down. It reveals itself when you meet the moment as it is; when your internal landscape is aligned, and the external world responds in resonance.

That evening, William curled up beside me during story time, his little body melting into the cushions, his breath moving in rhythm with mine. He didn’t need instructions on how to be present. He just was. And presence, when met with presence, creates a field. Not metaphorically. Energetically.

Our nervous systems aren’t just biological or mechanical, they’re instruments carrying codes of information we often call ‘energy’ or ‘frequency’. They play the frequency we’re holding. And when two coherent systems come into contact, they don’t just harmonize, they amplify.

Mia’s presence was quieter but equally profound. She’s stepped into a new chapter of herself; more independent, more internal, more selective about where and how she connects. She doesn’t curl up in the same way, but her invitations to conversation, her glimpses into her inner world, are a new kind of intimacy. One that requires stillness to perceive.

We cooked gluten free spaghetti and meatballs, our laughter as abundant as the sauce. We made gluten free cookies from The Holistic Holiday Table, the kitchen a joyful mess of almond flour and cinnamon, fingers dusted in sweetness, time suspended between oven timers and storytelling. In the days leading up to Christmas Eve, we walked the streets of San Francisco, letting the cold air wake up our senses, pausing to breathe it all in.

These weren’t just family rituals. They were subtle initiations. Each moment a ceremony of presence. Each shared breath, a return to wholeness.

And in that sacred simplicity, a deeper truth became clear: We don’t create reality by doing more. We create it by becoming the energy of the reality we wish to live in.

The world teaches us to set goals, make lists, do more, work harder, push forward—but all of that stems from a belief that reality must be controlled, pursued, or earned.

Yet reality is not built from effort. It’s built from frequency. And frequency is not something you chase, it’s something you embody.

Whether you’re calling in physical vitality, soul-aligned relationships, creative expansion, or financial flow, it all begins within. Not with more action, but with more awareness. With coherence and from a place of love, trust, and stillness within.

Coherence is the gateway. It is the space where your heart, your field, and your reality converge.

As January arrived, I could feel the collective energy tighten. The pressure to “start strong,” to map the year, to write out your goals, to take action, to prove something. But that’s the residue of the old paradigm; one built on separation and scarcity.

This new era we are stepping into, individually and as a species, requires a new kind of leadership. One rooted not in control, but in embodiment. Not in hustle, but in harmony.

Your nervous system is more than biology; it’s a bridge. Between the visible and the invisible. Between your body and your soul. Between story and truth. Between contraction and creation. It’s the one and only true gateway to the reality you experience.

So if the new year has you reaching for more structure, more discipline, more plans… pause. Feel. Ask yourself: Am I creating from coherence, a place of love, trust, and knowing? Or am I creating from the belief of performance and pressure?

Because the energy you bring is the outcome you’ll receive. This is the mastery of our human experience. Now is the time in our evolution to become so rooted in our own resonance that our external world must rise to match it. Not by force. By frequency.

You are not here to chase life. You are here to align with it. To experience yourself through your reality, that is simply a mirror showing you what you are in resonance with.  It’s a reflection of what’s inside you. And from that place creation is not only possible, it’s inevitable.

I invite you to step into a new level of love and trust in yourself. What stories and beliefs about yourself and the world around you are you ready to let go of?  What new possibilities excite you and fill your body, heart, and soul with joy and hope?
