2. Avoid Artificial Sweeteners

Artificial Sweeteners can be responsible for some or even all of the symptoms associated with Fibromyalgia. Artificial Sweeteners that are usually found in diet sodas and ironically, they are chemically altered to make the consumer crave sugar.  In addition, these harmful chemicals actually cause a major imbalance in the metabolic systems of the body, causing the body to gain weight.  Avoiding artificial sweeteners is a must for anyone wanting to heal from any chronic illness including Fibromyalgia.

3. Consuming Coconut and Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil is a rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids play a significant role in combating the pain and inflammatory symptoms that are common with fibromyalgia. Using coconut oil as a good alternative for cooking or salad dressing is a good way of incorporating the benefits of coconut in your everyday lifestyle.

4. Turmeric, Ginger

Turmeric and Ginger have wonderful anti-inflammatory properties. Inflammation can cause pain, fatigue, and depression, all of which are notoriously associated with fibromyalgia. 5. Eliminate Alcohol

Many of us enjoy adult beverages but the truth is that alcohol causes more harm than it does good.  People who strictly limited their intake of alcohol exhibit lower severity of pain caused by fibromyalgia. For those struggling with severe Fibromyalgia symptoms, alcohol should be eliminated entirely.

6. Exercise

Getting movement into your body is essential for health.  Stretching and moving your limbs is not only a great way to relieve chronic pain in the body, it also helps the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins and inflammation from the body.  You don’t have to do high intensity gym training to see the benefits — if you are not able to knock out a weight lifting session or high intensity interval workout, try walking outside for 20 minutes or try a gentle yoga class…exercise is super beneficial if you are consistent with it.

7. Get Quality Sleep

Along with exercise, adequate hours of sleep at night is also key in reducing the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Our body needs rest to recover from the hassle and stress of everyday life. Without rest, conditions like fatigue, depression, and memory loss kick in, which are all signs of fibromyalgia syndrome.  Remember, your body only heals while you are sleeping so be sure to get around 8 hours of sleep per night at the least.
